Upgrade

Euronda Software/Device Manager will upgrade automatically previous versions preserving customer data.
Before the Databases's upgrade Euronda Software/Device Manager makes a security copy (backup) of the Database in the working folder.
The database file (MEM_DB.MDB) will be copied as MEM_DB_<old version>.BCK. For example, if the old version is 1.03.00, the file will be MEM_DB_10300.BCK.
For the compatibility with the machine firmware version, check our website www.euronda.com

Uninstallation

From the Start menu--> E-memory group, select the Uninstall E-memory icon.

The uninstallation program asks if You want to uninstall all the components. Answer: Yes.
NOTE:
the uninstall program doesn't uninstall Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.

Note

The installation/uninstallation and upgrade can be done as normal User.
In Windows Vista/Seven there are normally no problems with the setup of the User Account Control (UAC).
In some cases however may be that the program must be launched under administrator privileges. This is due mainly to particular settings in folder permissions for the logged user (Windows Domain permission or specific Local computer permissions), for example the user has not "Installation permission".

You can do the following steps (if first is not enough, do the second one):
  1. Run as Administrator. The first way is to go to the installatione disk, enter Setup folder, select Setup.Exe file, right-click and select Run as administrator
  2. Log on as Administrator. If the preceeeding methods fails, it is necessary to logon as Administrator (local or Domain Administrator), make the Installation or upgrade it and after this, logon as the operating user.

Multilingual user interface

Euronda Software/Device Manager uses a multilingual user interface.
At first run, the program asks the language choice, but the user can change the program language every time he want.
All the messages, texts and data handled by the program are represented with the international character set of the scheduled languages.
The customer data (for example the data to customize the reports) supports the international character set too.
Only exception are customer folder and file names that must be represented with latin characters (you can use numeric characters).
This happens in 3 contexts:

  1. Parameter User logo for the reports customization, if required
  2. Parameter Certificate generation folder for automatic exportation, if required
  3. Certificate generation folder for manual exportation, if required
